GA'S & ra'S

April 1st: Clue Week 3

  • This week, we’ll investigate the story of two disciples on the road to Emmaus who didn’t realize the stranger walking with them was Jesus and how Jesus revealed himself to them using Scripture. (Luke 24:13-35; Mark 9:2-13)
  • Big Idea: The Bible reveals who Jesus is.

April 8: Clue Week 4

  • Solving a mystery gets to the truth behind something that seemed unclear, helping us see the bigger picture. This week, we’ll investigate how Jesus helped the disciples catch fish at the Sea of Galilee and then gave Peter clarity about his mission to care for God’s people. (John 10:1-11, 21:1-17)
  • Big Idea: The Bible shows us how to share God’s love.
  • Memory Verse: “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this:  While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

April 15th: True Story Week 1

  • At the end of some adventure stories, the leader leaves, and the team wonders how they’ll go on. This week, we’ll see how Jesus’ followers felt the same way when he left for heaven, but he
promised that his presence would stay with them through the Holy Spirit. His promise wasn’t just for them—it’s for us too, because true story—Jesus is always with us. (Acts 1:3-11; John 14:1-7)
  • Big Idea: True Story – Jesus is always with us

April 22nd: True Story Week 2

  • A true adventure hero stays honest and does the right thing for the right reasons. This week, we’ll see how Ananias and Sapphira tried to make themselves look good by hiding the truth, but their dishonesty led to serious consequences. The good news is that God doesn’t expect us to be perfect, but when we choose truth, true story—God helps us be righteous. (Acts 4:32 – 5:10; 1 Peter 3:13-22)
  • Big Idea: True Story – God helps us be righteous.

April 29th: True Story Week 3

  • A quest is filled with dangers and obstacles—sometimes, a warrior gets trapped with no way out. This week, we’ll hear how Peter was locked up in jail, heavily guarded, and escape seemed impossible. But when the church prayed for him, God sent an angel to set him free, proving that true story—God hears us when we pray.(Acts 12:1-17; Ephesians 1:15-23)
  • Big Idea: True Story – God hears us when we pray.

True Story Memory Verse: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.” Romans 1:16a

Easter Journeys:

Each session invites children to follow Jesus through the key moments of Easter — from the cheering crowds in Jerusalem, to the quiet garden of prayer, to the cross, and finally to the joy of the empty tomb. Every journey points to God’s plan of salvation and leads to the greatest truth of all: Jesus gave His life for us and is alive forever.

  • Session 5 (April 5)– The Empty Tomb: Jesus Lives: The tomb is empty — Jesus is alive! Children learn that Jesus really rose again, and because He lives, we can have new life too.
