GA'S & ra'S

We covered two BIG lessons this week.  Kids followed the story of how an angel visited Mary to deliver a special message from God, AND how Jesus was born and shephards were invited to meet the newborn savior.

The Big Idea:  God gives hope to guide us.  God gives a Savior to guide us.

Our new memory verse:

“I am the light of the world.  Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12b

Next week, there will not be RAs and GAs because it will be our Gingerbread Bash.  Be sure to register your family using the link to the right.

David Wrote Psalms to God (November 30th)

Psalm 34-35

God rescued David many times throughout his lifetime.  David wrote a psalm to praise God for hearing his call for help.  David said, “I will always bless the Lord.  I will tell about God’s greatness.  I called the Lord, and He answered my cry for help.  He rescued me from my fears.  Those who trust in the Lord are full of joy.  The angel of the Lord protects and rescues those who fear God.”

Text Truth:  God hears those who call to Him for help, and He rescues them from troubles.

Memory Verse: “The Lord is near the brokenhearted; he saves those crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18

4th and 5th Grade Highlight:  Students have been working on memorizing the books of the Bible!  We had our first three students get them all down!  Congratulations Blake, Ray, and Tripp!

Preschool/Kinder/1st Highlight: They completed their first day of Advent.  It was beautifully done!  They have been putting in a lot of work practicing!
