Series: You’re Invited
Sometimes, the best moments at a celebration happen when something totally amazes you. This week, we’ll hear how Jesus surprised everyone by talking to a Samaritan woman by the well – someone God’s people wouldn’t have spent time with- and showed her love and kindness. Jesus crossed every barrier to love others, and now we’re invited to do the same.
The Big Idea: I’m invited to love like Jesus does.
Our new memory verse:
“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”
John 1:12

The books of 1 & 2 Peter (February 15th)
1 Peter 1-5; 2 Peter 1-3
We explored the books of 1 Peter and 2 Peter. Peter wrote these letters to encourage believers who were facing hardships, reminding them how to stay strong in their faith.
In 1 Peter (chapters 1–5), we learned that even when life feels hard, God’s people are called to live differently. Peter reminded believers to trust God, make wise choices, show kindness, and treat others with love and respect. Our lives should reflect Jesus, especially during difficult times. When we respond with patience, courage, and faith, we bring glory to God.
In 2 Peter (chapters 1–3), Peter encouraged believers to continue growing in their faith. He warned them to be careful about listening to wrong teachings and reminded them that God always keeps His promises. Even when waiting feels long or confusing, we can trust that God is in control.
Text Truth: During difficult times, we are called to live in a way that brings glory to God.
Memory Verse: 1 Peter 4:16

Big Idea: God’s creation shows his greatness!
Key Verse: “The heavens declare the glory of God; the sky above proclaims his handiwork.” Psalm 19:1
This week, we learned that God’s creation shows His greatness! Everything God made — from the stars in the sky to the animals on earth — points to how powerful, wise, and wonderful He is.
Students discovered that creation itself is like a message from God. The beauty, design, and variety we see in the world help us understand important truths about Him. We talked about how creation shows us that God is:
• Omnipotent – All-powerful
• Omniscient – All-knowing
• Omnipresent – Present everywhere
We also learned that while creation tells us much about God, He speaks most clearly through His Word and His Son, Jesus. Jesus perfectly showed God’s love, power, and goodness through His life, miracles, death, and resurrection.
Children were encouraged to listen to God by:
✅ Paying attention to His creation
✅ Reading and learning from the Bible
✅ Talking to Jesus through prayer
As you go through your week, take time as a family to notice the amazing things God has made and praise Him for His greatness!
